About Me

Despite everything you’ve seen (or haven’t), I am by no means a professional. I’ve gone through a journey trying to find the right way to tell stories. Mine and others. I’ve learned so much through film and every department that goes into it is incredibly creative. Film has been the best way to really create and build a world for a targeted audience. I’ve experienced a lot and haven’t experienced enough simultaneously. I want to continue learning. Telling stories in the most creative ways has been a challenge, but this is a challenge I am eager to wake up everyday to tell it right. I have worked a lot outside of my major and have so much work experience. I spent a lot of my time, not doing what I love but gained an incredible work ethic because of it and I will always be grateful for that because I’ve been in the real world and now it’s time to do what I love, also in the real world.

“Some of us get dipped in flat, some in satin, some in gloss.... But every once in a while, you find someone who's iridescent, and when you do, nothing will ever compare.”
Wendelin Van Draanen, (Flipped).”

My passion for film started with wanting to write stories. I studied Journalism and English at University of North Georgia. I quickly realized that I loved searching for a story and creating an article with all of this research and interviews I’ve put together. It just wasn’t the right kind of writing I was searching for. I switched my major from Journalism to English where writing was a bit broader but it still wasn’t right. I applied at my dream school, Savannah College of Art and Design and got accepted. I started out majoring in dramatic writing and fell in love with it but started to fall in love with the process of filmmaking. Finally, after years of searching, I found the love in producing films and received my B.F.A in Film and Television.

Study Abroad Program

Getting accepted into SCAD’s study abroad program was such an amazing opportunity, one I wouldn’t take for granted. Because they select from both Atlanta and Savannah campuses, the chances of being able to go were terrifying but once the portfolio was submitted and transcripts were shown, I was even more nervous. SCAD is full of talented, creative students and it was an absolute privilege to be apart of this group to go to France. There were months and months of back and forth because, realistically, I couldn’t afford it but like I said, it was a privilege to go and I knew it was important for me to go, not just as a student but as a person who wanted to see more of the world. It’s not everyday that you get to spend an entire summer in France just learning and exploring.
